Encapsulated in tulle, beads, collected objects and other things found in the studio!!
A gold sari from India traveled to Iran in 1962 to become a party dress and went to two weddings before coming to me ten years later!!
As the years went on , it became old and frail. To be saved and have a new history it became my story.
I took it’s flowers and circles and introduced them to my world of needle, thread and living.
Fragments of the gold sari and photographs of the Swiss Alps taken by me in 1959 while in boarding school are Encapsulated between two layers of spider stitched tulle.
Photographs of my grandmother taken in Aleppo in 1920s at a unique moment in history and some shiny objects are caught between two layers of spider stitched black tulle in 2016 by me!

I am not a jewelry designer.
But I learned how to make jewelry to sell to a capricious and fast moving fashion industry.
The two meet in CAPTIVE HISTORY – Images + Bits and Pieces.
